HAVING read Mr Warwick’s comments about Kevin Beattie, I would now like to add my own views.
Tremendous achievement
Published 7 May 2008
IT IS undoubtedly disappointing not to have secured automatic promotion. But to finish in the play-offs for the Championship having gone through near-bankruptcy, then climbed back up progressively both on and off the field, is a tremendous achievement.
Leave off Rio

I HAVE just read the comments made in your newspaper by Miss A Little concerning Rio Ferdinand and the said fracas at Chelsea.
4-5-1 system is wrong
Published 3 May 2008
It's down to the manager to motivate players and rotate the system but if you haven’t got the squad to motivate you can’t do it and we are now struggling with this.
Fans deserve better
Published 3 May 2008
I GAVE up my weekend to go to Millwall and it was the worst Carlisle performance ever. I, along with 60 other fans, asked the police to let us out with 20 minutes to go.
Not convinced
Published 3 May 2008
I AM not convinced that a club with Carlisle United’s limited resources have the necessary available finance to purchase the number of quality players the club would need to sustain a place in the Championship.
Ref was rubbish

No understanding

I’d just like to comment on the story “Leeds points plea should be binned” published on April 11 in the Hugh McIlmoyle column.
Facts are wrong
Published 16 April 2008
The article about Leeds United 15 points penalty is one of the worst I have ever read.
Facts wrong
Published 16 April 2008
I AM a Leeds United fan, yes, but not a blind one and will put my hands up when the club performs badly or makes wrong decisions.
Clubs sitting up and taking note
Published 16 April 2008
LEEDS have been deducted 25 points - 10, rightly, for going into administration and 15 for not coming out with a CVA in place.
Get over it Carlisle
Published 16 April 2008
HUGH McILMOYLE is wrong when he states that Bournemouth, Luton and Rotherham all had their points deducted at the start of the season.
Hughie’s column is a disservice
Published 16 April 2008
MR MCLLMOLYE’S comments do your readers a disservice.
Decision won’t be Football League’s
Published 16 April 2008
MR MCILMOYLE does not seem to understand that if any points are returned it is not the Football League that will be doing it.
Your man needs educating
Published 16 April 2008
PLEASE educate Mr Hugh McIlmoyle that Leeds’ 15 point deduction is totally unprecedented in football, so no other club has “taken this on the chin.”
You made a sausage of yourself Mr McIlmoyle
Published 16 April 2008
MR MCILMOYLE, you’ve made a proper Cumberland sausage of yourself.
Leeds aren’t complaining
Published 16 April 2008
LEEDS United are not complaining about the 10 point deduction.
