Annan boss is manager of the month

ANNAN Athletic manager Harry Cairney capped a flying start to life in the Scottish League by being named Irn Bru manager of the month for Scottish Division Three.

Cairney's side won admission to the league this summer as replacements for Gretna, and have made a great start to life in the senior ranks.

Annan opened their league account with a 4-1 victory at Cowdenbeath and were top of the league after four games.

They sit third in the table following a home defeat to Albion Rovers.

The Galabank men are without a game today because of the international break.
