Too frosty Mariella

THERE aren’t many TV programmes I deliberately stay in to watch, but Have I Got News For You is one of them.
The spontaneous wit of team captains Paul Merton and Ian Hislop is laugh out loud stuff at its rapier sharp best.
Not good enough for broadcaster and presenter Mariella Frostrup apparently. After two undistinguished appearances on the panel she has branded the show sexist and a “disgrace.”
Perhaps Ms Frostrup was miffed at being overshadowed. That most liberated of females, Germaine Greer, delivered the ultimate put down when she said: “Mariella is not known for being amazingly witty, is she? I thought she was best known for her sexy voice.”
Panellists and presenters on this show must realise they are there principally as targets for the humour of Messrs Merton and Hislop.
I don’t think any sleep will be lost over Mariella’s hissy fit.
