KEEPING up the good work – whatever it is – can be something of mysterious science, as we discovered from Carlisle City Council only last week.
“I don’t know what we’re doing but we’re attracting people here,” said Marilyn Bowman, the council’s executive member responsible for economic development. “Whatever we’re doing, we’re doing it well.”
Best no one ever finds out. With such a wordy title like hers to keep in her head, Ms Bowman couldn’t be expected to remember.
