Appeal after man hurt in Carlisle train station incident

Police want these two men to come forward

An 18-year-old man was hurt in the altercation, which involved two other men.

He was believed to be injured in an incident involving a station notice board and suffered minor concussion and a one inch cut under his left eye which needed three stitches.

Police were called to the station at about 7pm on Sunday, September 28 but the two men had already left.

CCTV images captured them on film at the scene and transport police would like them to come forward to help with their inquiries.

During the incident, the 18-year-old suffered minor concussion and a one inch cut under his left eye which required three stitches.

“We have made local inquiries, spoken with witnesses and reviewed CCTV from the station,” said PC Stephen Martin, the investigating officer.

“We are also asking for help from any members of the public who may have seen anything or who may have any information that can assist our investigation.

“We know that the men pictured in the CCTV images were at the station around the time of the incident and are keen for them to come forward and talk to us. We are working to trace any other witnesses and I ask anyone who was at the station at the time to contact police.”
