CUMBRIAN-based music festival Wild on the Wall will return this summer. 

The festival will take place at Walton, near Brampton, from July 26 to July 28. 

Under 12s can attend for free, it is also a dog-friendly festival, and caravans are welcome. 

A spokesperson said: "In this long, fun-packed weekend, there will be plenty of activities, great food, drink on site and entertainment for all the family. 

"There will be multiple live music tents, where you will see a top-class line-up of local bands and artists, from a range of genres, including performers from Carlisle Music venue 'The Source.'

"Stalls from local businesses and workshops/entertainment for all of the family including character visits, face painting, poetry recitals, 'sophisticated' Karaoke, Tarot card reading, morning meditations, storytelling for children and so much more."

The headline acts on Friday are Funke and the Two-Tone Baby and Revolutionaries, and on Saturday, Shambolics and Hardwicke Circus will perform, on Sunday, Jeremiah Ferrari and Baghdaddies will perform. 

One of the most popular local bands to perform at Wild on the Wall is Hardwicke Circus. They are a Cumbrian rock n roll band who are fast building a reputation as 'one of the most exciting up and coming bands in the UK. 

Their sound is compared to the likes of The Doors. 

Wild on the Wall organisers explains: "Many more acts with a plethora of genres will perform from indie, rock, and punk to jazz, funk, and pop including Delagrave, Swamp Chicken, Roz Sluman and Sultans of The Source, RedHanded Siren, Birdseed, TBK, Boathouse Blonde, COLT 45, Palo Alto, Reggie, The Cherry Pinks, The Unsung, Bees in Blankets, and more."

The spokesperson continued: "Luckily, this is a perfect staycation, and you are encouraged to camp on the exquisite, historical, Cumbrian grounds, surrounded by Hadrian's Wall, with no extra charge and with free parking on site, camper vans included. 

"Oh, and did we mention, there is a bar open from morning till night? 'The Source' Bar will come stacked with affordable, cold drinks to fuel you and the children, all day, and all night."
