A WAR veteran who works tirelessly to fundraise has reflected on a challenge he did last year.

Mark Harding has been fundraising for important causes for several years.

After being severely injured whilst serving in Afghanistan Mark has dedicated his time to raising money for charities that support the military community.

He said: "This time last year, I embarked on a remarkable journey that pushed me beyond my limits.

"I walked the furthest I had ever walked, completing the St Bees to Carlisle route for the noble cause of Home For Christmas for Walking With The Wounded.

"But here's the secret I kept tucked away in the depths of my mind, I was already planning my next adventure. My passion for long-distance walks had ignited an insatiable appetite for exploration and self-discovery.

"Today, I share this story not to boast, but to inspire. It is a reminder that our past achievements are merely stepping stones to new horizons.

"We have the power to constantly challenge ourselves, to dream bigger, and to embark on extraordinary journeys that surpass our wildest imaginations.

"So, let this be a call to action for all those who yearn for more in life. Let us embrace the spirit of adventure and fearlessly pursue our dreams."
