Cumbria Police has issued a warning to the public over hate crimes surrounding the Israel and Palestine conflict.
Many people in the county along with the rest of the world will be deeply affected by what is going on in Gaza.
The police have said they will engage with communities to prevent and deter issues from arising.
A spokesperson from Cumbria Police said: "As a Constabulary we continue to watch the situation in Israel and Gaza.
"We recognise that there will be many people here who are affected. Cumbria Constabulary polices by consent, we have increased patrols within our local communities and continue to engage with community groups and partners.
"We have not seen an increase in antisemitic or islamophobia hate crime. We have zero tolerance for any hate crimes. If you have been victim to a hate crime or witnessed a hate crime, please report this to us.
"Anyone with concerns, or who has witnessed any offences can report online Report a crime | Cumbria Police or Report hate crime | Cumbria Police, or speak to an officer on 101, in an emergency call 999."
