With the Easter Holidays on the horizon, the National Trust is on hand to make sure you know what events and activities you can attend across Cumbria.

With everything from egg hunting to tours and workshops, there’s something to keep you and the kids entertained this Easter.

National Trust Easter events in Cumbria

Acorn Bank

Make a paper blossom decoration – Sunday, April 24, 10:30am – 4pm

Drop in to make and decorate a beautiful blossom to hang from the Quince tree.

Aira Force and Ullswater

Easter egg hunts at Aira Force and Gowbarrow Park – Monday, April 2-18, 10am-3pm

The trail takes place every day from April 2-18, 10am to 3pm. Tickets cost £3 per child and includes a trail map and chocolate egg at the end.

Wordsworth House and Garden

Easter egg hunt – Monday, April 11, 10am-4:30pm

Work your way through 10 nature inspired activities, collecting your Rainforest Alliance chocolate egg (or allergen free prize). Trails are £3 each including entrance fee, or free for Natural Trust members.

Tour – Tuesday, April 12

Take a tour and learn about the life of the Wandsworth family in Georgian times.

Walk on the Wild Side – Wednesday, April 13, 11am-11:30am

Follow a costumed servant on a fun, family garden tour.

Allan Bank and Grasmere

Easter Egg hunts – April 5-21, 10am-4pm

Allan bank is closed on a Monday and Friday, and last entry is 3:30pm. The price of the trail is £3 per child and includes a trail map, pencil and a chocolate egg at the end.

Sticklebarn and the Langdales

Needle felting workshops with KT Did, April 9 – 18.

Booking is advisable for these events as they fill up fast (book here). You will learn the art of felting to create an Easter bunny, Easter chick, landscape, or anything you like.

It is suitable for ages 6 and over and for all levels from beginners.
