A Met Office spokesman said: “Those figures are above average for the time of year but not record breaking.”
Similar temperatures were expected today.
The sunshine should continue until Thursday at least but it will be cooler from tomorrow onwards with maximums of 18C or 19C.
Showery rain is expected towards the end of the week.
