New bus service to see the ospreys

A NEW bus service is providing a link for spectators wanting to view the Lake District ospreys now they have moved home.

The birds have moved from a nesting site in Wythop Woods to the other side of Bassenthwaite Lake, in Dodd Wood, where they are currently incubating up to three eggs.

The Osprey Bus, which has Heritage Lottery funding, departs from Keswick on a round the lake route, taking in the Dodd Wood viewpoint and the Whinlatter Forest Centre exhibition.

These spectacular, fish-eating birds of prey are a dramatic sight in the sky, thanks to a wing span of nearly five feet.

Vote

Is it a miracle or a crime against nature that a man has given birth to a baby?

Miracle - any new life should be welcomed into the world

Crime against nature - the child will always be labelled a freak

It's not really anyone else's business
