AN EGREMONT band will be supporting Status Quo at their concert in Whitehaven this summer.
It Bites, who have a cult following after their top ten hit in the 1980s, Calling all The Heroes, will be playing on August 2 to mark the 300th birthday of the town and harbour of Whitehaven.
Local band Ruffkut will also be on the bill, with further support acts to be announced over the next few months.
Promoter Gerard Richardson said: “We’ve been toying with a choice of main support acts for months now. It Bites have a cult following and are individually some of the finest musicians in the country.”
The concert is being held in association with WRLFC, The Miners Welfare, Whitehaven Amateur Football Club, CFM and the Whitehaven News. See www.ticketline.co.uk for tickets, priced £40 and £30.
