Low cost homes approval?

FOURTEEN low cost houses are expected to be built in Maryport.
Planning officers have recommended Allerdale councillors approve a scheme by SJR Building Contractors to build the homes at Faulders Field, Grasslot, when they meet next week.
The application covers a development of ten terraced two-bedroom houses with two pairs of semi-detached homes.
There would be one car parking space per property with a further ten communal spaces for visitors.
The site, close to the Solway Industrial Estate, has been the subject of a series of recent residential planning applications with the latest seeing approval for nine homes being granted.
However officers consider the latest design is acceptable despite an increase in the development’s density and say it would have no adverse impact on the amenity of its surroundings.
Allerdale Council’s development panel will meet to discuss the application on Tuesday.
