WINE lovers will be enjoying a glass or two and helping to put the world to rights at a special wine tasting event next month.
They will be sampling a range of fairly-traded wines.
Caldbeck and Hesket Newmarket Fairtraders are hosting the evening on Friday, October 17 at Caldbeck Village Hall, starting at 7.30pm.
Nick Shill, Wine Consultant with the Grapevine Wine Company will guide the Fairtraders through 6 wines which were selected at the Annual Fairtrade Wine Tasting in London last autumn.
After the wine tasting cheese and biscuits will be available and there will be an opportunity to buy bottles of the wines which have been tasted.
Any profits from the evening will be shared between the Northern Fells Community Group and Caldbeck & Hesket Newmarket Fairtraders.
Tickets, priced £7.50 are available from: Kirkland Stores, Caldbeck Fellside Stores, Hesket Newmarket Susan Beale (016974-78354) and Sally Vaux (016974-78626).
