Battle of the best bargain

MORRISONS is the latest name to join the battle by the supermarkets to prove which is best for your pocket in these cash strapped times.
While Sainsbury offer to ‘feed a family for a fiver’, Asda have hit back by slashing the cost of some staples such as bread and eggs to 50p and Tesco says it has reduced the cost of 3,000 items.
Now Morrisons has cut the cost of eight items to 50p until Monday and has doubled the number of price cuts in its stores from 2,000 to 4,000. The 50p offer includes: eight pork sausages; four quarter pounder beef burgers; four chicken drumsticks and thighs; four fresh salad tomatoes; an iceberg lettuce and 12 white bread rolls.
