GADS’ ghostly goings on

THERE’S ghostly goings on in Gosforth in the run up to Halloween.
Gosforth Amateur Dramatic Society (GADS) is performing The Ghost Train, by Arnold Ridley (better known as Private Godfrey from Dad’s Army) at the village’s public hall.
The 1920s-set thriller runs from Thursday, October 16-18, all at 7.30pm. Call 019467-25351.
GADS have also teamed up for the first time with the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway on two ghost train specials.
On Friday, October 31, Saturday, November 1 and Sunday, November 2 families can ride the ghost train from Ravenglass through Eskdale, up to Castle Dalegarth.
