The magical mystery show

“HE’S a comedian!”
“No – he’s a magician!”
Calm down, kids – you’re both right!
Comedy magician Pete Firman is coming to Carlisle.
Firman starred in Five’s irreverent magic show Monkey Magic and presented Channel 4 magic show Dirty Tricks.
The Middlesbrough-born entertainer gleefully injects the magic genre with his off-beat humour and dazzling skills. He has been described as “The MySpace generation’s Tommy Cooper”.
Monkey Magic was shortlisted for a British Comedy Award and nominated for the Golden Rose of Montreux. Dirty Tricks was nominated for the variety award at the Rose d’Or Festival.
Firman and his Monkey Magic co-stars went on to make Greatest Magic Tricks In The Universe... Ever!, which was one of Five’s highest-rated shows.
Firman then travelled the world and met some of his heroes for Sky One show The Secret World of Magic.
He will play The Brickyard on Fisher Street on Saturday, November 1 as part of his Flimflam tour. Details are being kept under wraps to ensure audiences are hit with the maximum amount of shock and awe.
Doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 8pm.
Admission is £7 in advance. Visit www.ticketweb.co.uk or call 08700 600 100.
