A DEVASTATING opening spell by Matthew Hoggard reduced Sri Lanka to 46 for five on the first morning of the first test in Asgiriya.
The seamer took four wickets for just 21 runs in his first ten overs to put the tourist firmly on top.
New-ball partner Ryan Sidebottom claimed the other wicket to fall. Sri Lanka had recovered to 86 for five by the end of the first session.
