Benny’s in hunt for new coach

ST BENEDICT’S have announced that they are looking for a new coach as they prepare for life back in the Cumbria League.

The new man in charge will be doing the job on a voluntary basis but would be working with some ready-made material, with both experience and young potential at his disposal.

Any interested parties should contact Colin Murdock on 01946 696600 or leave a letter expressing their interest at the club.

Russell Gainford was coach for the first few months of last season but stood down because of his other coaching commitments in the community and senior players Graham Cartmel and Ian McQuire were in charge until the end of the season.

The Saints have already fixed-up to resume training on July 1 so will be looking for an early appointment.

Was a bus driver right to leave four Carlisle teens behind at Alton Towers because they were late?

Yes, they knew what time to be back, there were other passengers to consider

No, waiting a few more minutes wouldn't have done any harm. Anything could have happened to them
