AMANDA LITTLE has made it a double celebration after being crowned Sports Writer of the Year for both the News & Star and The Cumberland News at the North West Newspaper Awards.
It is the SEVENTH time Amanda has been recognised at these annual awards, sponsored by BNFL. Her portfolio included features on county golf captain Cliff Heath, former boxing champion Charles Shepherd, Premiership goalkeeper Scott Carson and coverage of Gretna’s turbulent SPL season.
Amanda’s award comes hot on the heels of her shortlisting for both newspapers in the national UK Press Gazette awards held in London.
