Fans of Girls Aloud are invited to take a front row seat at one of the band’s glittering concerts this month – without even leaving Cumbria.
The group’s Tangled Up 2008 arena tour, “Larger Than Life”, will be broadcast live at Vue cinema in Carlisle.
Using the latest High Definition Digital technology and 5:1 Dolby Surround Sound, fans will get front row seats for the live show, broadcast direct from London’s O2 arena, and feel the full excitement of the thrilling atmosphere.
Girls Aloud got together five years ago on Popstars: the Rivals, trouncing their rival boyband One True Voice, who disappeared into oblivion not long after. The sexy girls-with-attitude have released four albums and a greatest hits . CD
They have scored dozens of hits and recently entered the Guinness Book of World Records for the girl group with the most consecutive top 10 songs.
Their 2008 24-date Tangled Up tour of the UK started in Belfast on May 3.
Band member Kimberley Walsh said: “This is our fourth tour and with Vue we are making it bigger and better than anything that’s come before. We really love and appreciate our fans and it’s really exciting for the girls and I to be on big screens at cinemas across the country so that even more of those fans, young and old, can see our shows and be a part of the Girls Aloud live experience.”
Catch Girls Aloud on the big screen on May 17 at the Vue cinema, Carlisle. Tickets are on sale now from the cinema, or call 08712 240 240.
